We were so happy we ventured out of the heart of old town to find La Focaccia. The man working appeared to be the owner and, while he did not speak English, he was very eager to communicate with us through pointing at the menu.
We had aperol spritzs and beer for our drinks. We split two awesome salads. My sister said the salmon salad was the best salad she's ever had. I also loved the other salad with burrata, avocado, and hearts of palm.
For dinner, two people had pasta topped with burrata and I split a pizza with chorizo. Everything was super fresh and full of flavor.
Honestly, it was one of the best meals of our trip. It's worth the five-minute walk out of town to come here!! -

Superb restaurant
This is probably the best restaurant in Nice I have visited so far. The interior is cosy and elegant. The service - proffessional and friendly at the same time. I ordered "magret de canard" and it was delicious, just amazing. My husband had the "Rigatoni" and was beyond words. As a dessert we tried the tiramisu ( homemade by the way ) - it is a total must try - very, very good !!!!!! Really a wonderul place where we had un unforgettable dinner !!! -

Great Restaurant! It was the first place I tried when I came to Nice, and I most certainly came back many times! They make great italian Pizza at reasonable prices (around 8 Euros) and an even greater Focaccia! It's a kind of Pizza baked with only smoked mozzarella an then, depending on what kind you're ordering, topped with mesclun (young leaves of lettuce), salmon, capres, and tomatoes or different kinds of french or corsican ham and sausages instead of the salmon. You can season it like a salad, with olive oil, balsamic vinegar an lemon juice. It is absolutely delicious! Also the wine is good, especially the rosé, at 8 Euros for half a liter. Service is always friendly and fast and the high quality of the food doesn't change. They also serve pasta, salads, fish and all kinds of other stuff. Lovely place.
